April 22 is Girl Scout Leader’s Day Did you know? Girl Scout Leader’s Day is April 22nd and honors all the volunteers who work as leaders and mentors in partnership with girls. Girls, their families and communities should find a special way to thank their adult Girl Scout volunteers. The Girl Scout handbooks list ideas for girls to honor their leaders including washing their cars, creating a bouquet of tissue paper flowers, making up a song or poem, and planning a party for her. Leaders tell us their favorite gift of all is a heartfelt thank you note from their girls and parents telling the leader how much she is appreciated. Girl Scout Leaders are special volunteers who give of their time, talents and treasures. Let’s all remember to say, “Thank You for being my Girl Scout Leader!” For even more ideas, you can check out this website link and click on “spring” to find “Girl Scout Leaders’ Day” under the month of April. http://home.cfl.rr.com/scoutingseasons.
